The new year has started for StartGlocal in the usual manner – with lots of events, projects and news! Here is what was going on in January:
Events
The StartGlocal Academy continued in the first week of January! At workshops, participants were informed about everything important for a start-up in terms of legal obligations, taxes, as well as business planning. At the "Pitch and Presentation" workshop, students were able to prepare for the following “Wrap-up Session”. This took place at the end of the month and served as a practice for the final event, the "Demo Day", and at the same time as a feedback session.
StartGlocal gave me the opportunity to see my idea in a bigger vision.
Best way to get the entrepreneurship knowledge and experience.
In addition to the StartGlocal Academy, other events and workshops also took place as part of the StartGlocal project. At "Female Entrepreneurship", "Start-up Simulation Game" and "Time Management for Founders", not only students but also employees of the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences were able to gain new knowledge about start-ups & entrepreneurship.
New events – Entrepreneur Talk and StartGlocal Stammtisch
Of course, we always try to come up with something new to widen up your perspective on start-ups and entrepreneurship. Therefore, we set up two new events, at which we would like to get to know you better in a relaxed atmosphere and foster building of a start-up community.
First of all, we prepared for you the event “Entrepreneur Talk”, at which once a month, founders of various start-ups, talk about their path towards entrepreneurship and their start-up idea. Audience is also welcome to ask questions during the event!
Our second new event is the StartGlocal Stammtisch. Each last Friday of the month, all students and employees of the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences are cordially invited to a small informal roundtable. At Stammtisch, a specific start-up topic will be introduced at the beginning of the session and then the round will be opened for an informal discussion and exchange between participants. We are looking forward to meeting you there!
