Start-up School 2024
Following the great success of the summer school on start-ups in August last year, the StartGlocal team organised the two-day ‘Start-up School’ workshop at Campus Kleve for the second time on 20 and 21 February 2024.

Under the motto 'From Idea to Prototype', 24 participants worked on their business ideas and developed tangible prototypes. After a brief introduction, the first day began with a joint brainstorming session and idea generation. The participants then had the opportunity to apply the Business Model Canvas to their own business ideas, supported by our StartGlocal Start-up Scouts.
The skills acquired on the first day were designed to prepare the participants for the following day, where they worked together in five groups to develop tangible business models and simple prototypes.
The topics worked on included energy production from agricultural waste, an app to help students socialise more quickly, an application to promote healthy eating, an initiative to collect and recycle used clothing and an app to invest in YouTube influencers and generate passive income.
The workshop ended with a little get together, where the participants could review the past two days and discuss their newly gained insights with the StartGlocal team.
