StartGlocal is a project of the Centre for Research, Innovation and Transfer at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. All members of the centre, including the StartGlocal team, support the bidirectional, recursive exchange between Rhine-Waal University and companies, associations and the public. We collectively offer and maintain a platform of exchange with the goal of strengthening the dialogue between target groups and facilitating the transfer of innovation and know-how.
With our Innovation Network, we would like to create a lively exchange between Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, companies and citizens and jointly develop solutions in the Lower Rhine region.

AStA HSRW

The AStA is the General Students' Committe which advocates students' interests and acts in a non-partisan manner within the scope of its duties according to the law on higher education institutions of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (HG NRW). It is the executive body of the student body and represents it externally and towards the university.
Blauschmiede

The Blauschmiede Business Incubator is located in the NEW-Blauhaus on the campus of the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Mönchengladbach. Particular specialisations for innovative business ideas are the areas of digitalisation, sustainability and mobility.
Campus Camp-Lintfort e.V.

Förderverein Campus Camp-Lintfort e.V. (CCL) has been supporting Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences at the Kamp-Lintfort campus since 2009, focusing on the areas of science and research. CCL is committed to the establishment, regional integration and development of the university at the Kamp-Lintfort location.
Campus Cleve e.V.

Förderverein der Hochschule Rhein-Waal - Campus Cleve e.V. supports the development and establishment of the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences with its broad network of business, science, administration and politics.
digihub

From the idea to the product! Within five months, digihub supports start-up, university and corporate teams in the implementation of their digital product innovation. Ignition is an accelerator/funding programme from digihub Düsseldorf/Rheinland.
Enactus Kleve e.V.
Enactus Kleve e.V. is part of one of the biggest non-profit student initiatives in the world, with the aim to make the world a better place. The initiative enlarges social entrepreneurship for HSRW students and support them in establishing sustainable start-ups in North Rhine-Westphalia.
FabLab Blue

FabLabs are a global network of local labs, enabling invention by providing access to tools for digital fabrication. FabLab Blue focusses on water, the Spoy Canal in Kleve and all that surrounds it.
FabLab Kamp-Lintfort

The FabLab Kamp-Lintfort offers over 600 m² of both space and machinery to turn ideas into reality. The goal of the FabLab is to make new technologies such as 3D printers, 3D scanners, laser cutters, and more available to our region.
Förderverein Hochschule Rhein-Waal e. V.

Förderverein Hochschule Rhein-Waal e. V. works together with people from science, society, business and politics to promote the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences both ideally and financially.
Gateway Exzellenz Start-up Center

The Gateway Excellence Start-up Centre is the contact point for all those interested in founding a company and start-ups at the University of Cologne. The free services include start-up coaching, advice on funding, incubator places and an accelerator programme.
Gewerbe- und Gründerzentrum Kalkar

With 24 offices, eight modern production halls, a bistro, the coworking area, glass fibre connection, W-LAN and modern seminar rooms, founders will find everything they need to make the start into self-employment a success.
Green FabLab

The Green FabLab Kamp-Lintfort integrates digital future technologies in the schools of the Lower Rhine region and contributes to the securing of young talents for small and medium-sized enterprises.
HSRW Campus Kamp-Lintfort

The Faculty of Communication and Environment started teaching and research in the new and modern campus in Kamp-Lintfort in 2014.
HSRW Campus Kleve

The faculties of Technology and Bionics, Life Sciences, and Society and Economics moved into the new modern campus around the Spoykanal in Kleve in September 2012.
Impact Factory

The Impact Factory is a joint initiative of the founding partners Beisheim Stiftung, Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH, KfW Stiftung and Anthropia gGmbH with the support of the program partner Der Paritätische NRW. Together, the initiators have created a unique start-up fellowship that offers social entrepreneurs from all over Germany a collaborative space where scalable innovations to solve complex social and environmental challenges can be created.
Impact Hub Ruhr

The Impact Hub Ruhr is part of a global network and is committed to anchoring innovation in society and the economy through sustainable approaches. As a coworking space, event organizer and consultant, Impact Hub Ruhr connects freelancers, creatives, social entrepreneurs and companies in the same mission.
Starter-Zentrum Dieprahm

Dieprahm is a center for technology-oriented companies and supports start-ups with attractive entry-level rents. Originally operated as a start-up center, the space is now also appreciated by established companies.
StartGlocal Tree 1

The StartGlocal project launched in April 2020. To celebrate this milestone, our first tree was planted at our Campus in Kleve.
StartGlocal Tree 2

The "Gravensteiner Herbstapfel" is our second tree. It has been planted together with the company Eurofleurs Elbers GmbH & Co. KG from Kevelaer after a successful Pressure Cooker Day.

Our third tree is a plum tree which was planted after a successful Pressure Cooker Day with the Rinsenhof in Kalkar-Wissel.

To celebrate the successful completion of our first StartGlocal Academy, our fourth tree, the bee-bee tree was planted next to the Green FabLab in Kamp-Lintfort by the Centre for Research, Innovation and Transfer of our university.

Together with the Förderverein Hochschule Rhein-Waal, we planted this "Wangenheimer Frühzwetsche", our fifth tree at our campus in Kleve to celebrate the successful completion of our second StartGlocal Academy.

The sixth tree, an apple tree in the city of Kleve, was planted by the company Mediamixx GmbH to celebrate a successful Pressure Cooker Workshop with StartGlocal. The challenge of the day was to find alternatives for a classic press trip.

Our seventh tree was planted by the Ringelbox start-up and is located in the KLEX garden of our university. Ringelbox participated in the StartGlocal Best Idea Cup 2020 and the online workshop series of the StartGlocal Academy.

To celebrate the successful completion of third StartGlocal Academy and Demo Day, tree number eight, a cherry tree, was planted by Förderverein der Hochschule Rhein-Waal - Campus Cleve e.V. On the picture you can see Mr. Franz-Josef Kuhnigk, gardener of the tropical greenhouse of HSRW.

startport is an innovation platform in the port of Duisburg and connects logistics start-ups and companies in the city of Duisburg. It promotes innovative start-ups with solutions for logistics and the supply chain in two programmes: the startport incubator and accelerator programme.
Technologiezentrum Kleve

The Kleve Technology Centre (TZK) is the first address for young companies and start-ups in the city of Kleve who want to live their entrepreneurial dream. Reasonably priced office rents, central services and modern meeting and conference rooms of various sizes make it easy to get started.

The inter-municipal wir4-Wirtschaftsförderung AöR of the city partners Moers, Kamp-Lintfort, Neukirchen-Vluyn and Rheinberg is committed to strengthening the joint wir4 business location.
